Arrived at around 1040am on a Saturday. First trip was at 1100am and the queue was already forming so we joined the queue to ensure we gained a space on the trip. There is no shade while queuing so we sheltered from the sun under an umbrella. The Solent Cat arrived just before 1100am and we quickly boarded, clambering to the top deck to get a space outside, knowing once we started moving that there would be a nice breeze. We headed north, taking in the sight of Queen Elizabeth the aircraft carrier And several destroyers and patrol boats alongside and also the type 23 frigate HMS Westminster. We also saw the continental ferry port and the port where the fruit is stored, the second biggest in the uk after Dover. We then headed south as far as the mouth of the harbour and the departed at gun wharf quays. This took around 35 minutes in total and was included in the price of the all attraction ticket for the historic dockyard.
