Same expectations in every premier inn, they keep their standards and company values to scratch and every premier inn I have stayed in hasn’t dissapointed. Not always the cheapest but I came here last minute due to another hotel (see other review for ibis budget) having a really poor experience. Paid £30 more for the night to stay here instead

This hotel building is not fit for purpose. I stayed on the ground floor for one night and could hear every footstep the people/elephants above us made throughout the entire night. We received a refund for breakfast as an apology but I would not recommend this hotel. In fact I would suggest it is one to avoid.

You would like to assume that when you arrive an hour after check in starts that your room would be ready? No. Sign on reception stated due to lack of housekeeping some rooms were not ready - they may as well have said all rooms!
Met with one pleasant enough member of staff although absolutely clueless and another who was abrupt and downright rude! Sorry you’re having issues with your staff but it’s really not my problem if the room you allocated me isn’t on your list to clean. She also informed everyone waiting as she stomped off that there were no extra pillows and we would need to use cushions - hygienic.
Waited in reception for 20 mins before we were able to get in our room.
No issue with the room itself. Just the service.

Recently had a 1 night stay here in a twin room with the meal deal, at a very good price- we felt - for Mid August.

Easy to find just of the M27- and reasonably quiet despite its proximity- we were very pleased with the location.

Really lovely friendly and helpful staff in the Hotel and Beefeater next door

Plenty of free parking for overnight guests- just give your car reg to Reception when you book in.

We received a lovely greeting at Reception, which is always nice, I hate self service ( and online) check in and much prefer to speak to a person when booking in. I am sorry I cannot remember the ladies name, but she was absolutely lovely.

We had a nice quiet ground floor room, but being just about as far away from the Reception as possible did mean the WiFi was a bit patchy at times.

We had a thoroughly lovely evening meal in the Harbour Lights Beefeater next door, before have a night cap in the Bar area and then returning to our room.

As ever with a Premier Inn - you know it does what it says on the tin, though here there does seem to have been a little modernising and refurbishment, just enough to freshen the place up.
A nice touch is the USB socket for charging etc, we found this very welcome.

Our room had a window that opened which I always appreciate, and we managed the heating / aircon without any difficulty, so were at a comfortable temperature for the night.

Breakfast was a cooked Buffet on Sunday, and too be honest here is where improvements could be made, not the food - that was excellent, lots of it and quickly replenished, it was where the hot food was situated- in a narrow 'doorway' at the top of the stairs from the 'Grill' area- it was completely unsuitable in many ways - not least as people were queueing for food so blocking the doorway, plus the poor little girl bringing the replacement dishes up the stairs every 5 minutes had to negotiate people going to the toast/pastries etc, people waiting for replacement items and people just generally trying to get their breakfast - it became dangerous when one poor lady dropped her breakfast - which went everywhere and the floor was covered with slippery scrambled egg/beans and the suchlike - and of course people - being people - & only concerned about getting their own food - where just trampling it everywhere and not giving the staff the room or time to clear the floor properly.

It is such a shame they cannot work out a better system for the Buffet service, because the food /staff etc were all so lovely -but in all honesty it was all a bit of a circus!!

Overall though another great stay at this Premier Inn, and would recommend to any one thinking of coming here, just time breakfast a bit better than we did!!

Maybe a bit earlier or later and it would not have been quite so chaotic.
