We stayed during winter end of Feb and absolutely loved it. The bedding was so comfy we have now ordered the same for our own place! Perfect size for a weekend away for two. Great hosts and lovely local pub down the road - super friendly.
We stayed Friday to Monday at Coomb Cottage and really didn't want to leave. The lodge is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need or want. The local pub is very friendly and food excellent, though we spent most of our time in the lodge as it was so comfortable. The wood burner is lovely and there is a seemingly endless supply of wood. The surroundings are stunning and sitting on the verandah listening to the birds - and no traffic! - was bliss.
The owners, Claire and Jason, who were very friendly and helpful, have thought of everything. All in all, a perfect break and we will definitely return.
The couple who own the cabin welcomed us on arrival and showed us around the cabin. Clare was very accommodating towards our dogs and provided them with towels etc. The fridge was also stocked with the essentials such as milk, eggs and bread.
There were plenty of walks to do in the area of varying lengths and there were details about different walks in the cabin. The walks were well suited to our dogs and in the evening there was a dog-friendly pub, less than a 10 minute walk away which provided water for the dogs.
The cabin was only a short distance from towns such as Winchcombe and Cheltenham which were lovely to visit. During the day if you didn't want to take the dogs with you, Clare provided an enclosed area where the dogs could stay for a couple of hours.
We really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere within the cabin, created by the quaint log-burning stove, stunning wood-panelling and candles. We would really recommend a visit, with or without dogs.

Coomb Cottage is not only idyllic and cosy but is carefully thought out so not a detail is missed. Claire was on site to give us a warm welcome and mini tour on our arrival. The surroundings were beautiful and the lodge itself was spotless and neatly presented. Claire had even added a bit of Christmas for us which really made it feel homely! The welcome hamper and bottle of sloe vodka was a lovely touch and greatly appreciated.
We did enjoy a walk to the local pub (which serves lovely food and has friendly atmosphere) and a trip out to Cheltenham but we spent most our time snuggle up in the cabin with the log burner keeping us warm. Claire and family were even kind enough to leave a bucket of fire wood outside our door one morning when they knew we were using the fire each day. We stayed for four nights cooking most of our meals in the lodge and we were impressed with the compact yet full equipped kitchen. The additional extras like CDs and movies also came in handy.
Overall we had a wonderfully relaxed stay and could not complain about a thing.
We would definitely consider a return.

Wow!! The first word that pops into your mind when you pull up at this luxury cabin in the heart of the Cotswolds. You step in to a brilliantly decorated open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with gorgeous log burner. The bedroom is super luxurious and like staying in a hotel. It truly does have everything you need.
Spent Christmas 2014 here with my partner and it was magical. The views are incredible, with excellent walks and a cosy inviting pub just up the road. Claire is the hostess with the mostess, she truly does perfect the art of hospitality. The attention to detail, a welcome basket of goodies on arrival, handy information pack and everything you need (towels, robes etc) make this feel like home from home. A fantastic place, you will not be disappointed!! Book your break to this idyllic cabin now!!
