Description: The Village Hub in Scarborough is home to both The Hub Cafe and Foragers Deli & Wholefoods Cafe and is perfectly located in a stuning seaside village close to Cape Point and Kalk Bay. The Hub Cafe is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday and until 5pm on Sundays. Bookings essential by phone only. We serve our lunch/dinner menu from 12pm straight through to last orders at 8.30pm - Our Foragers Deli & Wholefoods Cafe downstairs is open 7 days a week from 8am to 6pm for breakfast and lunch. The Deli has lots of fresh home-made goodies such as Chicken Lasagne or Veg & Chickpea Curry (plus more to grab and heat up), sauces, dips, pates, fresh veggies, dairy, roast free-range chickens, Quiches, cheese, free-range eggs....and tons more - perfect to grab as a picnic on your way to the beach. Our mission is to serve as a community resource and gathering place, while providing fresh, high-quality, affordable food to the diverse members of the deep south. We emphasize products from local, organic, and socially responsible sources, and work to build connections between our customers and their farmers.

Do yourself a favour and visit Scarborough ...the scenery on the way is the best in the world - no seriously! and the literal cherry on the cake is The Hub.
It's rare these days for the owner to welcome you..the chef to step out of the kitchen and all the staff to be smiling - and this before you've sampled a morsel of the beautiful fare.
Instead of raving about The Buddha Bowl, Prawns, Sag Alloo and Springbok salad that the four of us delighted in, I'll be brief - just go (Oh yes and stock up on the deli delights on your way out ). You're Welcome !

We are happy to have stopped for breakfast at Foragers Hub Cafe at The Village Hub while touring the Cape Peninsula. As it was a beautiful sunny morning, it was a pleasure to sit at one their outdoor tables. The service was quick and personable. Food was very good with fresh and tasty ingredients. We became enamoured with the red cappuccinos which we tasted for the first time. After touring South Africa for a month we would say that the red cappuccinos at the Hub Cafe were the best we had.

Our lunch at The Hub was amazing. The restaurant is simply decorated, the menu offers for all types of diets and the service was friendly and good.

We definitely recommend the menu of the day on the charcoal board.

We arrived at The Hub Cafe just in time as we had not booked. All the rest of the tables were taken. Speaks volumes about the popularity of the restaurant.

While the welcome was friendly we stood around for a while trying to attract attention to be directed to a table. The seating was fairly hard but comfortable and the restaurant noise levels allowed for easy conversation across the table. The seating was open to the outside balcony.

The menu was interesting and varied and I enjoyed a fig and blue cheese pizza. Quality was good and the crust crisp. The coffee was of a high quality and I enjoyed a couple of cappuccinos. The only negative was the two pesky flies that kept us company.

I would recommend a visit (book ahead) and will be returning.

Thank Andre H
