Had a fantastic night away at the ormond with my two dogs who were made very welcome. The furnishings in all the rooms are beautiful and the bed extremely comfortable. The room was plenty big enough room 7 for the dogs as well and I always let mine sleep in the en suite with they're bed as I would not allow them to be disrespectful and ruin people's furniture. It must be quite a headache for the wonderful staff and owners when faced with dog owners that allow them to do such a thing. Admittedly the bar is quite small and with a few unruly dogs could cause chaos !!! Gareth is a fantastic front of house nothing was too much trouble and the food excellent. I will most certainly recommend it with its good central location

Room Tip: Room 7 was beautiful with a very big ensuite

Fell upon this place by accident and we weren't disappointed. Very friendly and helpful. Delicious lunch in a lovely pub. Highly recommend the homemade soup and veggie tart. A perfect way to spend your afternoon.

Can you imagine arriving to Tetbury never having been there before. Pulled up outside of the hotel but no sign of a Car park, so continued to find a car park some five minutes walk away.
Bags, Cases and four dogs having to walk back to the hotel..... It get's worse
Two couples check into a hotel, each couple have two dogs.
It sounds like the start of a joke doesn't it, well it's worse than a joke.
We were told that the owners were precious about there furniture and therefore dogs could not sit on it. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant, which we had booked but the staff had changed because apparently you cant leave your dogs in the room whilst you eat either.
You need to sign a waiver form because you have dogs.
Dogs cannot go on the beds or in the beds, I'll show you to you room...
Yes this was us just checking in.
Yes there is a dog bowl in the room for water and biscuits does this this make this a dog friendly hotel, no it doesn't!
The staff all but one were in your face every two minutes about the dogs. Where are they, don't leave them, stop them from barking. We were made to feel on edge the whole time.
We all felt as if we were being watched and spent most of our time there sat in the court yard, but even then the staff spent more time watching us just in case we crossed that doggy line.
I would not stop here again with or without dogs after this experience.
There are three things good about this hotel when you have dogs.
The pillows, the bed and the way out!.

Room Tip: Don't bring a dog!

This is an extraordinary review and I think that any reader can understand where the issue lies. We are a dog friendly hotel (not all rooms accommodate dogs), but we are here to serve everyone, not just dog owners. Of course we don't want dogs on the furniture, of course we want them on a lead and we do ask guests to sign a waiver regarding doggie damages. This is standard in any hotel and simply a protection for us as we have had thoughtless behaviour to deal with in the past.

This guest's intimidation towards staff, inability to stop her dogs from barking at 7am in the morning and absolute refusal to pay for many items that she ordered was a slap in the face for us as we had bent over backwards to accommodate her myriad requests, unfortunately this is a lesson for us going forward.

Love our stay! We were celebrating our 5 year anniversary in The Cotswolds. We stayed here for the night. Our room was stunning! It was recently renovated and had very high ceilings. The en suite was very spacious. The bed was very comfortable. It was very clean.

We had dinner there as well as breakfast the following morning. Both meals were excellent! The staff were very nice and accommodating. Would highly recommend.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the newly renovated rooms.

Room 1 has a four-poster but faces the main road so we moved to room 3 (overlooks the courtyard / passageway) and is a quiet family room with a double and a single bed and can accommodate a dog. Room 3 has a minimal tub type bath – insufficient for a bath - while the “bath” had sufficient water pressure the water pressure for the shower was barely adequate – only 4/10 for the bathroom however the bedroom was good at 8/10.
Rooms 19 and 20 have been recently renovated and both couples that stayed in them loved them but on one night at about 05.00 they were all woken by a noisy delivery to the Co-Op supermarket next door. The hotel should address this issue with the Co-Op.
Breakfast was OK though I had kippers twice and on both occasions they were overcooked – all other breakfasts were ample and cooked correctly. All of the personnel were helpful and the hotel has character. The hotel does not have its own car park, however, across the road there are usually spaces where you can park for an hour for free. A free long-term car park is approximately five minutes walk away. The hotel has a beautiful courtyard that we greatly appreciated – and the lounge for residents was also great.

Room Tip: take advice from the receptionist when booking!
