We had a great week at Andy’s cottage. From the booking stage through to leaving, communication with Andy was swift and easy. The stairs in the cottage are very steep so it wouldn’t be suitable for anybody with limited mobility, to us though they added to the charm. The second floor bedroom is huge and a perfect size for a family, with a good size double on the first floor. The bathroom is large and modern and the log burner in the lounge is an absolute bonus. We didn’t get to use the garden but it looked a lovely place to sit and unwind on a summer’s evening. There is a shop and a pub (which serves lovely food) both within walking distance. Thanks Andy for a great week, we hope to see you again
The cottage had everything that we could possibly need. Whilst staying there we had some very cold (- 3) weather but because of the stove the cottage stayed warm and cosy throughout.
cottage with character;low ceilings, steep stairs, uneven floors.Well equipped kitchen, efficient shower and wifi.Car parking ok. Had difficulty imagining 6 people in the living room. This is cosy.
Reasonable Indian restaurant nearby.Pub was smart but without character.Menu looked a bit basic.
Perfectly situated for getting around to Slimbridge,Westonbirt.Interesting canal walks nearby and at Saul Junction.
Misserden Park Gardens are lovely but badly sign posted.Follow road from Sapperton and then green signs for the café.
Weather was kind.Enjoyed our stay.
We stayed for a week, the cottage is cosy and has a really great bathroom. Bus into Stroud makes it really easy to get to, and some great walks right outside the door. Stroud brewery is only 10 min walk away, the pub in brinscombe itself does good food, as do the fish and chip shop and indian- all walking distance. Very quaint little village and the locals were very friendly. The cottage is very well fitted out and has lots of period features. Very easy to book as well- thank you!
