An enchanting country house hotel lies just 3 minutes walk to Market Square in the centre of the beautiful town of Cirencester. Our midern furnished bedroom en-suite overlooked the beer garden at the rear of the hotel. A first class english breakfast each morning is cooked on demand and self service cereals, fruit juice etc is available.
Dinner menue is wide and comprehensive. An ideal base for touring the scenic villages in and around the Cotswolds.

We have just had a 3 night break at the Corinium, when we arrived we were met by Ashleigh who was very friendly and welcoming.Check in was very good our room was very clean and quirky retaining lots of old charm with the original beams.Breakfast was good and again served by friendly staff. The location of the hotel is good just a short walk into the centre.I would recommend the Corinium and would definitely stay here again.

We only stayed for 1 night on our way passing through but we were very happy with the hotel. Nice welcome from the lady on Reception when we arrived. Room was nice, the decor is a little old fashioned, but to be honest that suits the hotel and we quite like that. Bedding all very clean and fresh.

We ate in the hotel for our evening meal and the food was lovely and plenty of it too. We were served by a very polite young man for whom nothing was too much trouble.

Breakfast was lovely, bacon was really nicely cooked and not at all greasy.

All in all it was a very pleasant stay and we would go back here again.

We were visiting Stroud so wished to stay overnight not too far away. We have stayed at the Corinium before several years ago, so didn't look for other hotels. We asked for a double room when booking, but all were booked, so accepted a twin. When we arrived, the young lady on reception apologised again that no doubles were available. About an hour later other guests arrived who had a double, but wanted a twin. The owner left us a note and we swapped rooms which suited both of us. Our room was clean and tidy with all the amenities you expect all in good working order.
The stairs are narrow and some creaky floorboards, but is is a very old building so to be expected. We had an evening meal from the restaurant menu but ate in the bar which was quite busy and it meant I could easily choose another of the good ales on offer. I had the sea bass which had a hint of ginger but didn't overpower the taste of the fish, while my wife had the dressed crab. Our starters, mains and desserts were all good with reasonable portions at fair prices. Breakfast the next day was good too. The owner, barman and all of the staff we dealt with were friendly, helpful and efficient. If we are in this area another time we will certainly stay at the Corinium again.

My family and I booked the restaurant for a function last Friday afternoon to include food and drinks for 35 people.
The restaurant is a very pleasant, light airy room overlooking the hotel gardens and was perfect for our gathering.
A big thank you must go to Tim, the proprietor, and his able team including Ashlee and Stacey for organising everything so well and being so attentive throughout our stay.
My wife and I and our two children stayed overnight at the hotel and were very pleased with our comfortable rooms.
The atmosphere, character and hospitality we experienced at the Corinium was first rate and I have no hesitation in recommending this fine hotel.
