I was bought this as a gift, I didn’t want to go on my own so persuaded a friend to join me. We had a wonderful afternoon, very informative and welcoming by the host.
We arrived slightly early due to train times but this was not a problem, we were made to feel very welcome.
Such a fun few hours, learning about gin, creating our own, drinking gin and then getting to take home a bottle of our own creation.
Only advise would be to make sure you’ve had lunch before you go to soak up the tasting session!
I would recommend to anyone who enjoys gin to do this experience.

This could be a great marketing opportunity, but it didn't strike a chord with us. 4 single gins, so an expensive tipple. Sat in a transport caf type of room, given 4 different gins and shown around the "distillery". Thinking about a similar experience in Edinburgh with whiskeys, this was a poor second. Not worth the money.

Aside from a few equipment malfunctions which were overcome in a lighthearted and professional manner everything went to plan and we ended up with 2 very different but equally delicious bottles of Gin. Having such a large selection of botanicals to choose from gave you the opportunity to really experiment. We made our selections and were guided by the very informative instructor on how to finish the flavourings. The chance to weigh and measure all the ingredients going into your own bottle was entertaining and the tour of the distillery whilst the 'magic' was happening was informative. It was surprising to learn how much Gin is being produced in a small industrial unit, by such a small workforce. We had the opportunity to try some of the gins produced here and we learnt about the different botanicals the company use to give the different flavours. The only slightly disappointing aspect was drinking out of plastic with no ice. After completing the distillation process of our own Gin and bottling and labelling, it was time to try ............ Good news ...... we loved them both!!! All in all, a great way to spend an otherwise dreary Tuesday afternoon in the run up to Easter, with a very entertaining and knowledgeable guide.

Overall a good afternoon but as it was a Saturday it was crowded and not everyone got the attention that perhaps you should for the money paid! This is not a cheap experience - in fact it borders on the extremely expensive! Yes you get two bottles of gin but there is little explanation of the botanicals you choose so it is pretty random what goes in your own particular gin. As for the tasting Brennan & Brown's own gin, tonic was passed around in a jug with the excuse that we are meant to be able to taste the gin! It cheapened the whole idea of the event. I' ve been on many gin tasting and not had cheap plastic jugs of tonic passed table to table.
At the end we could stay and try our gin. ....we didn't! Why - because I like my gin with ice and a slice of something ...none were offered. In fact we were told it was hard to keep ice without melting. ...well perhaps invest in a very small freezer!!
Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this gin experience to my many gin friends. The whole afternoon /event needs a few more tweaks to make it a great day out!
