A great museum in the centre of the town filled with a mix of paintings ceramics and furniture. The arts and crafts collection is very impressive with furniture items designed by Voysey, Gimson, the Barnsley brothers as well as members of the guild of craftsmen (Ashbee etc). The tea rooms was a disappointment we were part of a group who had precooked a guided tour of the arts and craft rooms. When the group booked in for the tour at 2oclock returned to the tearooms their was only a very restricted menu available so many of us had to go to the bar deli next door- such a shame.

Thank you for joining the guided tour of the arts & crafts, we hope that it was enjoyable. It is a shame that the menu in the café did not cater for the group’s needs, however the café is currently undergoing a transition and new menus are being introduced to give a wider selection for the winter months. We hope to see you back again in the future.

This place is set in a great location near the centre of town .
The food in the cafe is excellent and the museum is breath taking .
Th staff in the Wilson Cafe and the information centre are really friendly.
I would recommend this place to friends and family.

We have visited here on a number of occasions. As a Cheltenham born and bred 70 year old, I appreciate reminiscing over the exhibits. On of our granddaughters used the history of Edward Wilson for a school project.

Thank you for taking the time to visit, it is unfortunate that the museum and our art galleries did not catch your interest. We hope that you come back at a later date as the exhibitions change, perhaps showing items more engaging for you.

The Wilson is a museum and an art gallery, has a great shop and café, and is worth a visit any day of the week (except Monday, when it is closed). The Arts and Crafts Gallery is brilliant with the most beautiful furniture and artefacts, and the museum has some lovely objects in it. The Open Archive has very interesting items to do with Cheltenham's history including the Rolling Stone Brian Jones and the Antarctic Explorer Edward Adrian Wilson. His watercolours are so beautiful. The WW1 exhibition on the 3rd floor is different, making you really think and is worth a visit before is closes later this year.
