We looked for this place specifically and it was reasonable. The scone was definitely homemade but undercooked and doughy. It was microwaved so it was warm and we appreciated that. The homemade Victoria sponge was HUGE but whilst the sponge texture was fine, the filling or maybe syruping of sponge made the centre part far too sweet. Staff and service seemed fine to me, cake displays could be improved to see through containers, and I found it funny that if you add up the component parts of an afternoon tea, they are essentially charging you 70p for use of the cakestand.
