My fiance and I stayed here for a night in the walking off-season and hence I think we got unlucky. We were given the room on the back which was pretty and clean but felt a lot like a bedroom in a grandmother's house. The breakfast was nothing extraordinary, and they don't seem to go out of their way to give a better choice to vegetarians. Maybe the meat eating people have better luck it seems, as I see from the other reviews.
I booked the stay here after seeing the 5 starts on TripAdvisor but was highly disappointed to pay 85 pounds for what turned out to be an experience that could have easily been replicated in a less expensive B&B.

What a great find!! This is a very well run bed and breakfast with extremely clean throughout .
The owners were very helpful, friendly and offer a excellent accommodation with facilities. The breakfast was beautiful with first rate ingredients sourced locally . I would recommend this b and b and can't wait to return

Room Tip: All rooms are spotless with good facilities

Our second stay at Meadow Rise. Excellent guest house, location superb, 5 minutes walk from town centre. Very good bedroom and bathroom, all accessories you would need in them. Breakfast really good. Owners really great people, will do anything they can for you. Would always stay here again.

Room Tip: All rooms have excellent views. As it is a private road and the few minutes walk to centre of town is excellent.

We stayed at this lovely B&B for three nights and it lived up to our expectations. Lovely clean room with a comfy bed. Breakfast was delicious and it was in a very central location for all we wanted to see. We didn't mind the short time slot for breakfast (8-8:30) as we wanted to get out an about early and the owners didn't mind us leaving our car there after check out on the last day so we could look around their lovely village.
Would definitely stay here again.
Just remember cash as this B&B doesn't accept cards.
Restaurants on the river side are lovely.
