Stayed here last year and gave a good review, however not this time. The Hotel has new owners and is in a state of disarray as unmentioned renovation works has spoilt the visit. Room service is hit and miss and you have to ask for gold plated toilet rolls !!! The Breakfast room is a converted bedroom with headboard and settee left for all to view, The pictures on the website do not give the true likeness of the hotel as it is now. On a plus side a good breakfast, however if you want sugar on your cereal then bring your own as the nice waitress informed us only sugar lumps are available. Very disappointing long awaited visit, we feel we were overcharged on this occasion.

Celebrating a wedding anniversary in Rye was made all the more enjoyable by virtue of this comfortable, very well placed hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, excellent breakfast menu (full English, kipper, smoked haddock etc.), own pool and sauna, hotel car park, quiet location with a good view to the south. Rye is a charming place to visit with a real sense of history and a large choice of pubs, restaurants, wine bars. We had booked via Groupon and the value for money was really excellent.

Room Tip: Beaujolais room 10 was quiet, facing away from the street

We had a Travelzoo deal and the whole experience from booking through to check-out was perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Hotel was cozy and very comfortable. We didn’t pay for an upgrade, but our room was just lovely and on two levels. Clean and quaint in a lovely way. The swimming pool was a bonus. There is currently some upgrading work going on, but it didn’t disturb our stay in any way. We had a tasty full English breakfast this morning, plenty of choice on the menu. Thank you Rye Lodge Hotel for a very pleasant stay and thank you to all the staff. We hope to return soon.

Room Tip: Our room was at the back of the hotel with a small car park beyond. Absolutely no noise or disturbance

I enjoyed our stay. The room we stayed in was freshly refurbished and big. Terrace is great, but it was too cold to use it. My partner had a deep tissue massage, sauna looks small, but lovely. Location is convenient and the view is stunning in a sunny weather. Breakfast was so so. The price we paid was a bit high , especially Saturday night £195? anyway, overall we had a pleasant stay.

We got a travelzoo deal to stay here and paid an additional £10 to upgrade. We arrived 4 hours earlier then check in to spend the day locally and our room was available so we were able to check in at midday. Lovely cosy room, two chairs, a tv and lush bathroom with a bath and shower. The sauna was great but the pool was too cold so I could only go waist Dee before I chickened out. Lovely breakfast cooked fresh and all the staff were fantastic. We stayed in room 20 which was the right hand ground floor with its own door to go out and outdoor area
