“Fantastic seaside retreat”
Reviewed 19 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

Thank you so much Sarah and Paul for a lovely stay. The lodge was wonderful - it had everything we needed and was very cosy, clean, and welcoming. Sarah and Paul were very accommodating and had even bought us wine and cake - so much appreciated after a long drive! I would highly recommend staying at the lodge - we were a group of four friends and it would be equally great for a family stay. Will definitely stay again when I next visit Hastings

“Shearbarn Park - Hastings”

this is the 4th time we've stayed at Shearbarn and it never disappoints. It's very peaceful, quiet, with great views of the country park and walking distance of Hastings and Fairlight. The accommodation was very comfortable, good facilities and the milk, cake and bottle of wine was very much appreciated - highly recommend!

“Very welcoming, a true home from home!”
Reviewed 21 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

The lodge was the perfect size for my other half, our two year old and lots of toys! It had a really lovely welcoming and homely feel to it and we settled in very quickly. Comfortable beds, plenty of storage and everything you'd appreciate having at home was available (vacuum cleaner, hairdryer, etc). Perfect location for exploring (short walk to cliff lift to the old town) and a private parking space which impressed my other half! I was impressed by the much appreciated bottle of milk and bottle of wine waiting for us in the fridge! We didn't get around to using the swimming pool because our two year old was having too much fun running around the warm and cosy lodge (easy to use boiler warmed up the place very quickly) and using his scuttle bug on the paths outside.
We would highly recommend Shearbarn in general and would definitely visit again.

“Lovely lodge”
Reviewed 28 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We had a lovely long weekend here with our baby. The lodge was spacious and immaculatly clean. The beds were comfortable and there was even room in the main bedroom for our travel cot, which was a great bonus for us. On arrival we had also been left a welcome pack of milk, tea, coffee, cake and even a bottle of wine, which was a lovely surprise after travelling.

The on site facilities are great for families, our little one really enjoyed using the swimming pool and soft play area. If a bit older, there was also a fantastic outdoor play area that could have been used. The staff in the retreat clubhouse were friendly and the food reasonably priced and very tasty.

Sarah walked over to check everything was ok for our stay which was very thoughtful and made us feel extremely welcome. I would definitely recommend this lodge to other families.
