Located in the heart of Hastings Old Town, Potting Cottage is ideally situated for Old Town attractions and the East Hill. It is very comfortable and welcomes dogs!

Excellent cottage well appointed. brilliant contact with owner. Will return in the future. It is a very good base to explore the region. This is our second booking. Being so close to the sea front is also a bonus.

A lovely cottage in Hastings Old Town with everything on its doorstep. Perfect for a couple. It has a very well-stocked kitchenette, a fantastic large, comfortable bed and an excellent large shower cubicle in the bathroom. There was a brilliant welcome pack on our arrival, consisting of bread, butter, eggs, milk and apple juice! Highly recommended.

“Delightful cottage in the Old Town of Hastings”
Reviewed 21 February 2018 for a stay in February 2018

We've just returned from a 4 night stay at this delightful cottage, situated perfectly in the heart of the Old Town in Hastings. As a couple with a dog, it was perfect for us. It's right off the High Street, so everything you need is within walking distance (excellent deli/bakery, convenience store, vintage and antique shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants). Also, within walking distance is the excellent Jerwood Gallery, well worth a visit and of course, the beach!
The cottage itself was the perfect size for us, with a very cosy living space and small but fine kitchen just off it. Upstairs, there are more modern luxuries with an incredibly comfortable King size bed and ensuite, with a good sized walk-in shower, all very tastefully done.
Our dog was well catered for with bed, blankets and even dog bowls!
The Welcome pack was great and Helen left us some delicious welcome gifts (freshly baked bread, local butter and fresh apple juice), a lovely touch.
The only niggle is that the cottage is situated on a passageway, meaning people do regularly walk right past the front door. We only had one night of actual disturbance (a lively, lengthy domestic with very colourful language), but as Londoners, this was not a huge issue for us, it may have been if we'd had children with us.
So, overall, definitely recommended to couples, individuals and dog owners.
