The cottage itself is lovely, and it is situated in an area which is far enough away from the busy hassle of Hastings, yet close enough for anyone to take a stroll to do some shopping, or easier yet, drive into Hastings. The area is pretty, there is a nice walk down to Covehurst Bay which doesn't take very long - it took us about an hour and a half for a round-trip and that's with a leisurely stroll with breaks. We were a little paranoid at first about stumbling across a load of nudists when we arrived at the Bay, however when we got there, there was not a soul in sight. It could just be the season though. For anyone wishing to go sight-seeing, there is quite a bit nearby - we visited Rye, Battle, Bodiam Castle, Hastings (for smugglers adventure!) and there's quite a bit to do in each place. The pool is a great little feature too! We used it a couple of times, and there are plenty of toys/floats/balls etc so you don't need to bring anything like that. There is a Co-Op Food and a Tesco Express at about a 15 minute walk/5 min drive, or if you want to do a big shop, there is a large Morrisons in Hastings. We would recommend this cottage to anyone who needs a small intimate break with a private swimming pool.

“A wonderful place to stay.”

An excellent cottage, very clean and comfortable. Everything you could expect to need or want is there for you.
Perfectly situated just a few minutes walk from the beach, a short drive from town, and about 80 yards from the pub.
A very well appointed house, a very nice, modern kitchen. A bed that proved very difficult to get out of every day, until you remembered that thanks to underfloor heating, you didn't have to walk into a cold bathroom.

“Brilliant!”
Reviewed 6 January 2014 for a stay in January 2014

It's was the perfect gateway and beginning to the new year for our little family! My children (one year old and six year old) were sad upon leaving and called it an unforgettable holiday.
The cottage can not be faulted at all, nor can the beautiful scenery. The pool is a fantastic assert, my sons favourite part of the cottage. We were provided with welcome pack, complimentary fruits and buiscutes, enough tea bags and suger, milk for the out duration of stay, Clean towels, linens, fully equipped kitchen with pots and pans, bowls, choping boards, cutlery, dinning ware cleaning detergents and cloth!
Pool is equipped with lots of children floatable toys. There's even a small gym of good standards for weight use.
The electrical heating heats the house up very quickly, and the underfloor heating in the bathroom was a bonus.
Only problem we had was the jacuzzi wasn't working it would beep like it needed to be reset again, so I'd suggest to leave it switched off overnight till u want to use it. Also water takes about an hour to heat up.
Your host Chris was very helpful and friendly when approached with any problems or questions. He just leaves you to it and totally respects your privacy which is much much appreciated.
Only criticism I have is perhaps on arrival of guest it would be helpful for the hosts to meet and greet the guets and show them around how to use the jacuzzi, operate the heating (not that its complicated to work out), thermostate etc, only for the sake of damage control.

Definitely will be booking again next year summer, hope the price remains affordable. And I recccomend to all who are looking for a relaxing, chilling and unwinding holiday!
