We visited on a bright but super-blustery Sunday morning, glad to escape the chill wind. Both of us went for Lumber Jill, the fluffiest pancakes, crispiest bacon and scrambled egg, with maple syrup on the side. Delicious and filling. And we were offered house-blend coffee with refills. Wonderful. I also had a great espresso. There was a range of juices, smoothies and shakes - I enjoyed a carrot, apple and ginger refreshing juice, and thoughtfully I was asked how gingery I liked it, thanks. To add to the atmosphere were quirky fittings, and the mellifluous voice of Dionne Warwicke singing Burt Bacharach. Oh, and a very handsome dog watching the customers enjoy their breakfasts.

We went here for lunch yesterday and had a great time. A lovely little restaurant with quirky decor and some really tasty homemade food. I had all the all American sub with fries and slaw, my wife had the chicken hero sub with fries and slaw. Both were amazing tasty and very filling. And the oreo milkshake was superb, two whole glasses of the stuff in one helping.

This restaurant is a great little place and the owners Alex and Joe are genuinely warm and friendly people. We will definitely be visiting again

Josh- With a warm and friendly welcome we were greeted by a lovely atmosphere and wonderful hosts! I loved the sandwiches and on our early morning visits the breakfast pancakes left me full and satisfied.

Elliot- Wonderful notical feel to the restaurant! So interesting that everything is antique! The food was so good we had to come back! The hosts were so friendly and accommodating! They also have a wonderful dog called Oscar! He is a good boy!

Would fully recommend anyone traveling through to pop in, the Compass point eatery is definitely deserving of #1 and five stars.

What a find! We were made to feel so welcome, the decor is warm and eclectic, and the food exquisite. We'll definitely be back when we're next in Brighton and I can see this becoming a regular haunt. The white chocolate pancakes were a hit with the 8 year old ... and he very nearly finished the lot. No more food needed for the rest of the weekend Thanks for a great start to our Saturday!
