Restaurant was quiet because of 60mph+ winds and sideways rain but the house dog (forget what brand) gave us a great welcome! Delicious chicken and chorizo wrap and delicious IPA Ale. Will go again when it’s not raining!

Great food is a given for a good restaurant. Service and the whole experience is what elevates great places to awesome places to spend your time. Compass Point Eatery delivers that much sought after experience in spades! Alex & Joe have created something very special just down some steps from the Kings Road.

The welcome, food & drinks, attention to detail and service can not be faulted. We instantly felt at home, not sure what does that? The ambiance, the chat, the personal details or insights in conversation regarding the food, the cocktails, the coffee, Oscar the sharpull, stories over how Compass Point came to be, it just felt "right" immediately.

However, I have two issues to raise...

1. The card machine didn't ask if I wanted to leave a tip. I would have and was gutted we didn't have any cash on us as I believe this kind of drinks/dining experience should be recognised.

2. I now want to make the 140 miles round trip on a regular basis because I want to experience all of the menu!

We will be back... with cash for tip. Loved it!!!!

Compass point has moved into central Brighton, the owners have clearly invested heavily in expanding and improving the CP eatery. But it has not lost its unique personality.

They now serve evening cocktails, which have the same quality and uniqueness as their menu has always achieved.

Very much worth a visit or three.
