“Fab house and location”
Reviewed 16 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

I've just stayed at Bloomsbury Place for my hen weekend and the 9 of us had a fab time. It was all decorated lovely and the bedrooms/linen were all nice and clean. The only reason for 4 out of 5 on overall, was the picture of the sun terrace is out of date- it's not that big anymore which was a minor disappointment on the whole weekend. Can't beat it's location either. Would definitely stay again.

Management Response
22 Jul 2013
I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay and humble apologies for the out of date picture of the sun terrace - I had huge problems with the council and planning permission and the new sized terrace has only just been allowed to be used. The new pictures will be updated by the close of business today.

“Great base”
Reviewed 25 February 2013 for a stay in February 2013

A group of us stayed at Bloomsbury Place for a weekend recently. We had a great time and found the house suited our needs perfectly. There were 11 of us and we all had enough space. The kitchen had everything we needed, the heating worked well, the bathrooms were clean and there were some colourful decorations (such as pop art-style pictures) which made it more fun. WiFi was also a plus.

The location was good for us; it's in the heart of Kemptown, so far enough away from the city centre to be quiet, but not too far that you can't get into town easily. There are some good pubs nearby including The Barley Mow and the Hand In Hand. What's more, Giles was really accommodating and very easy to deal with. I'm glad we found this place and would happily recommend it.

“Fantastic place for large group”
Reviewed 2 February 2013 for a stay in January 2013

8 of us stayed here and the appartment was fantastic with more than enough room for everyone and great facilities. 2mins to sea, 20min walk into town (or short bus for those that didnt like walking). Would definately stay here again and recommend to others. Owner was very helpful and prompt with bookings and information
Thanks for a great stay

“Awesome house, awesome location, ideal for groups!”
Reviewed 13 November 2012 for a stay in November 2012

I rented Bloomsbury Place for my birthday and was joined by 12 of my girlie friends for the weekend. All we could say was wow! Absolutely ideal location (about 10 minute beach walk to the pier) and has all the amenities nearby including a shop and several places for coffee and breakfast. Dont bother driving as you will be hard pushed to park but its only about £6.50 in a cab from the station and you dont need a car.

The house itself was AMAZING. Although if you have mobility issues or dislike alot of stairs, this townhouse will not be for you. The lounge comfortably sat everyone all at the same time, the kitchen had everything you needed including a massive fridge and dishwasher and the bathrooms were like a hotel, including the surprise seperate toilet cleverly concealed in a cupboard by the kitchen! The beds were all comfortable including the 4 temporary ones. And with sea views from every bedroom bar one, it was truely brilliant.

If you are looking for somewhere to stay with a group, head here. It's alot cheaper than booking a hotel and you are all together. I certainly will head back to Bloomsbury Place again if I need somewhere for a group.

“Perfect for a hen do!”

A group of 12 of us stayed here for a hen weekend on the first weekend of September 2012. Great location - 10 minutes from the pier, nice quiet street with an amazing view of the sea and close to coop and local bars/shops. I would say it is walking distance from the station (probably 25 mins) but we were lazy and got taxis which were around £6. There are 4 proper bedrooms with 8 beds and the rest are fold out beds/sofa beds so be prepared if you are booking for a large group. This didn't bother us at all. Towels and bed linen are provided. One of the showers was a bit of a trickle but the other one was perfect!
The kitchen is stacked with pots and pans, huge oven - everything you'd need if you wanted to stay in and cook. If you want fish and chips I recommend the 'Daily Catch' - best I've had!
Anyway, we had a super weekend and like I say the house was perfect for what we were looking for.
