Location opposite pier is very good and staff at reception helpful and efficient but hotel is pretty old and a pretty run down. No hotel parking we parked in ncp Russell road but that's a good 13 min walk. Room ok but WiFi didn't work we were on 5th floor. Only one small lift.. Breakfast eat as much as you want but sausages very cheap ones fried eggs came if asked but overcooked no mushrooms big pile of cold mass produced toast etc but chips ok though why for breakfast. If you get a cheap late deal or location is paramount definitely worth considering..

This is my second stay at this hotel. For me its the ideal location. Rooms clean and bed comfortable. Stayed 2 nights as had a works do on the Friday and met up with friends on the Saturday night. Ideal location for what brighton has to offer. Great stay once again.

We have just got back from a Monday to Friday holiday. It was ok, the food was mostly good, staff worked hard even if the language was a barrier at times. Entertainment I was told was to loud, unfortunately we were at the 7.30 evening meal sitting, so by the time we had finished eating there was no room to sit down, so we only saw the entertainment on our last night, he was good. Windows did not look as if they had been cleaned in over a year and there was only one lift. Fire alarm went off at 2.20 am, we were told it was some one having a shower? Our bathroom door did not shut, reported it, but it was not fixed.

Reception very slow. Room overlooking shaft. Don't think Windows had ever been cleaned. Beds really uncomfortable . Room extremely hot. Also room in bad repair & not very clean. Only redeeming feature is it's close to town & amenities

Booked a last minute coach break before cracking down for Christmas and was not disappointed. The Hotel is old but with character, which we would rather have than new modern box. Appears to have an ongoing maintenance programme and work to that effect was seen during our stay. These majestic buildings are always needing cash spending!! Keep up the good work. The staff are a credit to the hotel and well trained.

Room Tip: 4th floor good.
