Recently spent a week here with family, including toddler. Cottage is very close to pubs, shops and seafront. Very well equipped, no skimping on quantity or quality of kitchen items. Owner was very helpful prior to visit, swiftly answering questions. Would recommend taking a stair gate for toddlers for top of stairs, there is a door at the bottom. Easy to park second car in nearby roads. Drawbacks - difficulty in drying clothes indoors, top bedroom was very light as blind not very dark. Waste paper baskets in rooms would have been useful too. Overall very good stay.
Comfortable and fully equipped cottage right in the heart of swanage. Ideally situated to explore all of swanage with out using your car. Three great size bedrooms, the grandchildren loved the bunk beds. There was also a welcome pack on our arrival that was a lovely gesture. We had a stress free holiday. Can't wait to visit swanage again. We had a great holiday.
We have just had a wonderful week at this cottage with our two children (aged 3 and 7 months). The cottage is in a perfect location for Swanage beach which is less than a five minute walk away. There is a gate from the street which leads to the front door along a private passageway. At the end of the passageway is a small outside area with tables and chairs, which is nice for sitting out with a coffee or a glass of wine. The main kitchen/dining/sitting area is well laid out, comfortable and practical. The whole of the cottage is tastefully decorated with some nice seaside touches, and it was all very clean. There is a useful storage room by the back door with a nice selection of buckets, spades & other beach equipment. The first floor has two double bedrooms, one of which has a single bunk above the double bed, and a bathroom with bath. The second floor has a double bedroom and bathroom with a fantastic shower! It also has a really charming seaside style wardrobe like a circus tent. We came by train from London, via Wareham on the new service run by the Swanage railway, and there are plenty of trips you can do locally by bus or train without a car. We went to Putlake Adventure Farm by bus, and Corfe Castle by steam train. The owner was very helpful when I contacted her with a few queries. It was a good property for young children but it would be just as suitable for older children or adults. We would definitely consider staying here again and I would recommend it.
