Rose Cottage Bed & Breakfast

We've stayed at the lovely Rose Cottage for 3 nights at a time, six times this year 2016 whilst studying in Sherborne. Mary has given us a warm, friendly welcome every time and is so kind and thoughtful. She thinks of everything to make our stays perfect. We've stayed in both rooms at different times and have found them always to be quiet, clean and pretty, with everything we needed. The breakfasts are truly delicious and sometimes Mary bakes fresh bread. Rose Cottage blows the socks off any other b&b's we've stayed at by a billion miles! We'll definitely be back for short breaks away from the grind and highly recommend.

Room Tip: Room overlooking the back garden is prettiest

We stayed four nights in September and had a lovely time. A very comfortable room overlooking the back garden so it was very peaceful at night and a modern ensuite with everything you would need. The breakfasts were delicious with home made jam, marmalade, muesli and fruit salad. I can recommend Mary's poached eggs! As a host Mary is very welcoming and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend Rose Cottage as a great place to stay.

I stayed for 2 nights at this excellent bed and breakast. Mary could not have been
more helpful. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bedlinen truly superb and ensuite facilities etc. brilliant. The breakfast was also marvellous. Rose Cottage is also well situated a short walk from the centre of Sherborne. Many thanks indeed

We loved our stay at Rose Cottage. Mary is very hospitable and nice. She made us extremely welcome and allowed us to stay during the day when we had work to do. The breakfasts were delicious, and her several types of homemade jam were fantastic! Rose Cottage was very clean and comfortable, and the location provided us with easy access to shops, the abbey, and restaurants. We look forward to our next visit!

My husband and I stayed with Mary at Rose Cottage for a weekend while attending a wedding in Sherborne. We were able to park in the road opposite the cottage. The weather was pretty awful for April - hail storms etc., but Rose Cottage was snug and warm, the bed amazingly comfortable, lovely tea, coffee and biscuits available. Mary was the most attentive host and nothing was too much trouble - breakfasts were scrumptious.

Room Tip: Mary only has 2 I believe, we had the double room at the back, very comfortable
