Suprisingly really nice rooms, very modern and clean. Staff were very friendly. Parking is limited. We stayed for one night but would definantely stay again. Beacuse the pub looks quite old I thought the room would be too, but the pub and the rooms are very nice. Would recommend to people to stay here.

The outside of the building had scaffolding up around it which blocked the view from our window but we were told that this was because the windows were being refurbished and the building redecorated. Though the carpark was small staff were very helpful about making sure we had somewhere to park. The rooms were surprisingly large and recently refurbished though the corridors needed a lick of paint. Everywhere was clean and tidy in the rooms and bar area. Continental breakfast was included in the cost (£60) which was more than sufficient and we were offered cooked at an extra cost. The staff ther were lovely and couldn't do enough for us making it a very enjoyable stay.

Little parking available, on a main road, local boozer with rooms above. So I was getting nervous as I walked through the door. My anxiety worsened as I followed the barmaid up the stairs and along the shabby corridor to the room. But it all turned out ok, because the room had been recently refurbished, with new clean decor and furniture. In fact it was probably the nicest room in our weeklong exploration of Dorset.

This is a pub on a busy crossroads oposite Dorchester Hospital. There is only one parking place for 5 letting rooms, no free parking nearby. The building is pretty shabby and in need of serious work. The room had been refurbished, superficially, but some huge fundamental problems with the building and the staffing.

I had a bad night. My room was very wet, due rain dripping through leaking ceiling. No alt room available and no alt accom locally. Bed very creaky, lots of noise from room above and road, and linen had definitely seen better days. No breakfast before 8.30, and this is continental brakfast only (ie tea, cereal and toast). There was no element of 'service' during my stay, a few apologies but no solutions.
I would stay here again ONLY as a last resort.
