Visited with my 4yr old on a wet and windy day. Was quite literally blown away. We had great fun in our wellies racing back as sea and foam rolled in. Went for for a hot chocolate on the pier. Then on to Oceanarium all in all a fun day.

It’s a shame as during the winter months this beach is pristine, however during high season the tourists flock here making it near on impossible to find a small section to set up in, and then they leave tonnes upon tonnes of rubbish.

The beach itself would get a 5* rating, but sadly visitors during high season bring this down to a 3* rating.

Props to the locals who spend evenings and mornings litter picking though.

A lovely long beach with hundreds of little beach huts for most of the way. There is also a pier on which to take a stroll. Take note: easy to get down to but not so easy getting back up - at the bottom of a steep cliffside.

Great beach with a fun pier for exploring! Really good for walking! Bit strange to only have one fish and chip shop but we loved it regardless!

This beach was voted best beach in the country by Tripadvisor reviewers and I can see why. Unlike rocky Brighton beach this is miles and miles of soft sand which is kept clean and tidy as clearly it is a massive tourist draw. We took an bracing off season stroll from Boscombe to Bournemouth which is about three miles. It was a supremely relaxing walk even though it was drizzling. The well kept pathway is home to cyclists, joggers, famlies, mums with babies and tourists like us. This is one fab beach.
