“Real Ale and atmosphere”
Reviewed 20 May 2012

The pub has a huge selection of real ales, some from local breweries too. The food is quite good too, though there is a limited selection. The pub is the winner of sandwich of the year which is well worth a try! There is a beer garden which is part covered for when it's raining. Would definitely go again.

“A real find”
Reviewed 8 May 2012

Tucked away in a side street in West Cliff this was a real find. Excellent home made pub style food, with fast service and good atmosphere. Obviously has a very good reputation as pub was very busy for a Thursday night. Also dog friendly, which is a real plus for some of us (don't worry ours was the only one!). Highly recommended.

“Loved the food, real ales and atmosphere”
Reviewed 8 May 2012

We went to the Goat and Tricyle yesterday night and loved it. We enjoyed the variety of real ales they had on offer and the Liver and Bacon with mash and veg we had were fresh and superb. We enjoyed it very much! Due to the bank holiday the pub was very busy and quite noisy, but it was nice anyway. The locals were very friendly and we spoke to several different people.
Surprising how the pub looks so quiet from the front of the building and once you get in, it's a lovely busy traditional pub. If we are in the area again, we will definitely revisit!
