Description: WestBeach is your ideal venue for fine dining on the beachfront. Just a stone’s throw from the Bournemouth beach promenade, we pride ourselves on fresh, local shellfish and seafood, winning accolades from The Times, Sunday Times and Waitrose Good Food Guide in the process. All year round the bright, open-plan interior dining room is bathed in sunlight. In summer we open up our al fresco dining terrace and deck area for more casual drinking. Under the passionate stewardship of head chef Marcin Pacholarz, we serve a lunch and dinner menu based around classic British seafood and shellfish, using local fishermen, locally sourced produce, and our exquisite desserts are prepared in house. We offer an extensive wine list of New World and signature European labels, and host elegant entertainment events throughout the year – from jazz evenings to art exhibitions. Come and enjoy outstanding service and a view that’s hard to beat. Dogs are welcome in one half of the restaurant

The restaurant could definitely be overlooked when passing by but you are certainly missing out. Interior of the restaurant is simply decorated and in keeping with its beach side location. In the Summer would be in an enviable position. The service was very professional and friendly. Food excellent. Recommend the mussels in Stilton and leek, and the jumbo prawns in garlic. Definitely a memorable visit and will be returning when next in Bournemouth.

It’s located right on the beach, so hard to miss when walking by. Great food, great service (i forgot our servers name, but we had a chat and he mentioned he was from Romania). Nice food, nice ambience & easily accessible location!

This beach side restaurant has been a long time favourite of mine, though the prices are a tad high for me to call it a regular haunt.
It is situated right on the Promenade, 3 meters from the sandy beach and just a few minutes from the Pier. During the summer months it also has an Al Fresco dinning area situated opposite the main restaurant.
The menu choice is quite varied and children are also catered for, though it is predominately a seafood restaurant, juicy steaks are cooked to your taste.
For me the seafood plateau is the jewel in the crown at Westbeach. I always have it to share with a friend,as it is far too big for one.
This can be a very busy restaurant at times so best to book, but be warned, if you are short on time, this probably is not the place for you, as you often have a long wait for the food to arrive. However, the spectacular views and the chance just to chat & people watch make up for the wait..just don't fill up on the complimentary bread rolls!

Couldn't resist dressed crab for mains tasty salad and fries wonderful. Husband had salmon he loved his too. Lovely service. Can't wait to return to Bournemouth to eat there again.

Fresh, locally caught seafood in a cracking location right on the seafront.

Menu had a good choice of food and drink. The mussels were very good and the haddock and chips were excellent.

This isn't a place for cheap eats, but the quality will be remembered long after the price is forgotten.
