Description: A little taste of heaven in a beautiful part of Devon! Angels is a perfect place for Devonshire Cream Tea looking onto the seafront in Babbacombe. Very popular with the locals and recommended to holiday makers.

We try to visit Angels whenever we’re down from Sheffield, never fails to impress. Shared the angles full tea: 2 sandwiches, 2 scones, cake and tea.

Served by Daryl who is experienced and attentive, the man glides across the cafe like a swan. He ensured we had a good time, so cheers. Will be back soon. S

We visited last month sat down but proceeded to be totally ignored by staff to the point that after a while we got up & left. No one bothered to attempt to serve us whatsoever we could not believe it. Absolutely dreadful way to treat paying customers.

A lovely place to stop for a cup of tea served in a proper bone china tea cup. Very quirky and friendly and lovely on a warm day. Cater for all ages and tastes and well worth a visit.

We have been to Angels many times as my Mum is a fussy eater, but sandwiches and cakes always go down well. For the last two years we have booked for her birthday (amongst lots of other times, including just before Christmas). So, being her 94th birthday, and we have a young girl with disabilities staying with us, I booked a table for 8. I booked this 2 weeks before the day, knowing how busy they are. I then rang 3 days beforehand to see if we could increase this to 9, which they said was fine and all done - and I remember repeating back to her the name, date and time! So 9 of us turn up after travelling for nearly an hour, to be told they have no booking in that name. Not only that, but when the Manager appeared, he tried to tell us we had booked somewhere else, wanted to know the name of the person who took the booking, he took no responsibility, only concerned in trying to make it my error, even though I had rung twice about the booking. He did not apologise once, but suggested if we come back later they may fit us in - so we hang about in the cold with a 94yr old and a young girl with disabilities - very appropriate idea !! He was only concerned in ushering us out of the door! We left disgusted at his attitude, did not apologise once or offer any incentive for a return trip, which will never happen - your customer service is severely lacking. Thank goodness for Canonteign Falls who offered us a table within the hour, although were very busy, lovely platters of sandwiches, cakes and scones, unlimited tea, excellent customer service and for half the price. Moral of the story, if you book at Angels ask for the persons name and date of birth, check at least twice before arrival, or better still go to Canonteign - much more room and stunning views!!!

Very accommodating with getting a table for our group as we didn't have a reservation. Food is freshly made and delicious. Plenty of choice.
