“Couldn't fault this hotel!”
Reviewed 23 August 2011

My husband and I stayed in the superior room with pool view. It was spacious, bright and comfortable. Lovely comfortable bed and sofa in room. Just as photos on hotel's website. The hotel is clean and decortated to a high standard. The room had a flat screen TV, hairdryer, fan and a small portable fridge (the type that holds a few cans.) Bathroom was modern with a large shower.
The staff at the hotel are extremely welcoming, helpful and polite. The bar has cans and bottles which were lovely and cold and very reasonably priced! Breakfast was very good. the pool was heated but could do with being a few degrees warmer!

Room Tip: Our Superior room had a pool view and a little bit of sea view. Each room is different and refelcted...

Looking at comments on trip advisor for various hotels, the devon court hotel far excelled any of the others. This was the reason we chose the hotel and we werent disappointed.
The location was just right, for the seafront, the harbour and the town centre. The hotel was not too big, rooms were spotless and tastefully decorated. We were booked into the four poster room, which was lovey and comfortable and they put a camp bed in their also, for my partners 8 year old daughter.
Peter and Carol the owners were lovely and although my partner, his daughter and myself had never met them before, we felt as though we had known them years as they made us so welcome.
We only stayed for 4 days but really enjoyed our stay and Carol even made us a flask for our long journey home - free of charge!
We would certainly stay here again.
Many of the guests have been coming back year after year and that says a lot!
If I had any negative comment it would be that the room we were in, didnt have a fan in the bathroom.

Myself and my wife had a short four day break at this lovely hotel run by Peter and Carol. We stayed in a front facing superior room which was very spacious with all new ensuite and freshly re decorated. flat screen tv tea n coffee and a bit of a sea view over looking the heated pool.
Breakfast is between 8.30 and 9.30 and nothing is too much trouble if it's not on the menu. there is a bar and drinks can be had on a terrace in front of the pool lovely on a warm evening. The hotel has it's own car park And is close to the sea front about 6 or 7 minutes. All in all we had a fantastic stay at the Devon court and will definately stay again

Room Tip: Book early

Just returned from a 4 day visit with friends, superb hotel.very clean and well maintained. The owners Pete and Carol couldnt have been more welcoming or helpful. The breakfast was very good, lots of choice. The pool was inviting, the first time all of us had ventured in one for 8 years.Relaxed atmosphere in lovely bar and lounge.Beds were comfy. The location was good, one of our party was disabled but you could walk to centre in 8 to 10 minutes.Really can't praise it enough, all of us would return and recommend it to others.

Room Tip: we had a ground floor room as one of our party was disabled it was excellent

We booked the Devon Court last minute and were very pleasantly surprised with our choice. Carol and Pete are excellent hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were very friendly without being intrusive. Our room was more than comfortable and spotlessly clean. The little extras like a hairdryer, mini fridge and fan were very welcome. Tea and coffee making facilities were replenished daily and we never had to ask for anything. The excellent breakfast was served by a very pleasant young lady and the menu choice was very varied. The pool area was very clean, quiet and relaxing. Being only a five minute walk from the seafront and with ample free parking spaces this hotel gets our vote. We would definitely recommend it and will definitely visit again.

Room Tip: We chose the room with the four poster bed which was lovely. The settee and easy chair made it more...
