We actually started at the tea shop across the road, lured in by the piano player in their grounds but after a false start of them advertising crab sandwiches but them not having any crab and getting a sour face from their till operator when I mentioned salmon and cucumber sandwich filling that was available if you wanted a large selection of sandwiches rather just the one sandwich that we wanted we decamped to this absolute gem. They were so solicitous and helpful, the prices very reasonable for the quality and quantity. We chose 2 tomato and basil soups for the little's and a cheese scone tea and a bacon butty for my fella. The soup was homemade and delicious with a soft bread roll and butter. The cheese scone tea came with the scone, 2 hunks of strong cheddar, a pot of pickle, and a fresh side salad. The bacon butty came with 2 large sized slices of bacon, fresh soft buttered roll and a handful of ready salted crisps with a side salad. They split the milkshake into 2 cups for the kids which is great as saves wastage and money. The coffee was tasty too. We will definitely be back.

Stopped here to warm up on a rainy day. Cute little place to have cream and tea. Very old building with low ceilings. They also serve items for lunch.
