We were greeted at the door on arrival and offered a well needed cuppa which we had in the well manicured garden. Our room was spotlessly clean and modern.
.There is a good breakfast menu freshly cooked and served at a time to suit.
David and Kim were excellent hosts, David served a bit of humour with breakfast and had a good knowledge of places to visit.
A personal touch was finding an anniversary card in our room which was a lovely thought.
If we return to Torquay we would definatly return to Bentley Lodge.

Room Tip: We had a ground floor room ideal if you find stairs difficult.

We returned in January from a lovely weekend away with the family. This truly is a lovely hotel, and has all the characters a traditional English place should have.

The environment is fantastic, and great for the kids. The breakfast is great, with lots of variety.

The hosts are great, and cannot wait to return.

I stayed for just one night on 19th March 2012, on a business trip. We arrived around 7pm and were greeted by Kim at the door, she showed us our rooms, offered us a drink and then informed me of my room being upgraded. So far.... brilliant.
My room was a a triple bed en-suite consisting of a double bed and a single, the room was a generous size, with more than enough room for me, and certainly enough room for 3. The bathroom had what you would expect, shower, sink, toilet with complimentary shower gel, shampoo, soap etc. The bathroom was exceptionally clean.
The room itself was also exceptionally clean, and i was given two bath towels and two hand towels which were delightfully wrapped in a ribbon.
The bed was quite possibly the most comfy i have ever slept in and your head sank in to the pillows needless to say a really good nights sleep.
Also in the room was a TV with freeview and a docking station for my iphone. Tea/coffee making facilities two bottles of water and a fridge.
The breakfast was also lovely in the morning with your juice and cereal choice waiting for you, followed by a nicely cooked full English and fresh filter coffee, the only problem was i only got to stay the one night. I would definitely consider taking my family to this hotel in Torquay.
We are normally used to the large chain/corporate hotels when travelling away with work however, this hotel was by far and away streets ahead of those. Dave and Kim are the perfect hosts and are attentive to your needs always willing to help. More like staying at a family members than at a hotel. Thank you
The sea front is no more than 10 mins walk and the harbour 20mins walk from the hotel

Room Tip: My colleagues was just as good as mine so it shouldn't matter which room you pick
