Lovely food, friendly welcome and a nice quiet place to have a coffee, sarnie or a piece of lovely homemade cake!

Dropped in on a whim during a Torquay day trip. Seemed nice enough from the outside. Somewhat muted atmosphere inside, despite being busy with couples of a certain vintage. Pleasant staff and hospitality. As for the food and drink- perfectly drinkable loose leaf tea and lovely scones. However, if you crave a crab sandwich without an abundance of crab then look no further - sadly the crab sandwiches were lacklustre with only a very meagre almost homeopathic amount of crab meat on show. In fairness, flavour was good, but lacking on the filling.

Took my mum or her special Birthday afternoon tea. £10 each for finger sandwiches, scone, cake selection and drink. The food was lovely and more than ample. Couldn't finish it all but no worries we were given our cakes to takeaway in a box. I paid £3 extra for crab sandwiches which were really nice and fresh . Recommended for afternoon tea.

Despite the unnecessary and rather off-putting display of Coke cans on the shelf behind the counter, this place is an absolute gem. Friendly staff, coffee just as it should be (strong and full of flavour) and the most amazing 'mini cream tea' (melt-in-the-mouth fruit scone, large pot of jam, ridiculously large pot of delicious clotted cream, and coffee). And at a very realistic price. Thank you!

Lovely olde worlde tea rooms beautifully situated overlooking the Inner Harbour (grab the window seat!) serving delicious light meals (and, mercifully, an all-day breakfast!). Kept really clean by attentive staff. Even busy in January and deserves to do a roaring trade.
