Went to the Kents for the first time and was served a sloppy flavourless pulled pork burger which I had much higher expectations for. Wouldn’t recommend

Visited the eve before Valentine's Day. Expecting it to be as busy as usual we booked online (easy peasy) but needn't have done so. Still has a great atmosphere and service was good, prompt and attentive. Ordered their signature burgers after thinking them the best in Torquay on a couple of previous visits but REALLY DISAPPOINTED. They are now over large compacted slabs of finely ground meat. Are they really still homemade? Will not be recommending on this basis or going back. Real shame

We were a group of 10, including 2 babies, celebrating a birthday with a meal. We were seated quickly, and left to peruse the menu. I was very impressed by the variety of meals. We have some people with small appetites, who enjoyed the light bites choice. The children were given their own high chairs and had child cutlery left for them. I chose the chicken chasseur from the specials menu. It was supposed to be served with mash which I don't like, but the waitress explained I could swap for another potato or rice choice. The meal was well cooked and attractively plated. Everyone I asked said their meal was delicious. For dessert I chose Churros with butterscotch sauce... Delicious! The pub is lovely. Nicely decorated, with a friendly, efficient staff. I can imagine it would be quite busy in the Summer or at weekends. Great for families and good value for money.

Came here on Xmas eve for drinks and food. It was absolutely rammed! We had mussels, baked camembert, fries and nibbly bits; and the food was fantastic! We were extremely well looked after with a really attentive staff member who recommended some lovely gins (this place has over 30 gins and specialises in making some really special drinks!) Despite being totally rammed the service and food was of a very high level, and we even saw that there were gluten free burgers on the menu that looked really imaginative... so we'll definitely be back! I was very impressed.
