My partner and I booked a table at Harbour Kitchen on a Saturday evening. whilst what we had was very good (hake) the portion size was minute, I am not a big eater but for £19 I did think it a little stingy, small piece of fish with a 2cm square rosti and a desert spoon size of crushed peas. quite a limited menu too. I'm not sure I would return sadly

To be brutally honest, the entrance was not very invitational. In our lack of alternatives, we came back and gave it a try.

The monkfish and prawns was very tasteful on the edge of spice, however within decency. The plaice made it easy to please the lady ordering this dish. Exquisite garniture, nothing less.

Finally, the author got his hake with fried rosti, pea mesh and hollandaise tartar sauce. Together it became a symphonic mixture.

Add two bottles of Chablis and you are in heaven at this Michelin wannabe.

Good choice of starters, we chose kedgeree scotch egg with piccalilli and mackerel tikka Masala fillets & onion jam both of which were very good. It was a difficult decision deciding on the main course but we went for the chateaubriand to share it came with a choice of potatoes & veg, it was cooked to perfection, melted in your mouth and tasted devine, worth every penny.
Personally for us, best restaurant we have eaten in outside of London in a long time.
