A small intimate restaurant on two floors with helpful friendly staff. The pasta is always perfectly cooked and they have a good selection of wines

Came to Torquay for the weekend and wanted to use Biancos sister site Amicis opposite, but as they were full we were directed across the road to something a little bit nice!
Outside perceptions might make you think its a little bit plain, but trust me its worth the step.
Good choice of high quality food, with a good menu choice - don't expect pizza, its not that kind of italian.
I went for a paella rice dish with seafood, and was not disappointed. Even after a steady bout of munching, I was barely making headway through this delicious dish. Rice was light and beautifully flavoured, without too much salt, which most restaurants seem to forget. King prawns, baby prawns, mussels, bits of octopus and rings of squid - all cooked beautifully and remaining tender.
My wife had pork in a red wine sauce, and that disappeared very quickly - in fact so quickly that she started nicking mine!
Although we didn't have a starter, those that I saw looked pretty nice. The desserts were pretty good too. I had an ice cream and strawberry mix with cream, and it was beautifully light and tasty.
Value for money? What price quality and taste? I paid £70 for two mains, two desserts, large wine and a beer. Could have been cheaper, but I'm not arguing with the value for money!
Excellent service, nice ambience, but basically just great quality food.

We were looking for somewhere to eat whilst having a short break in Torquay and came across Biancos - the food was amazing - authentic Italien and the staff were so friendly - it was really reasonably priced too
We will definitely go there again when we next visit

We took up a promotion offer and were impressed with the offer. The Ristorante Italiano is spotless inside the service excellent and the food is up with the best. This was by far the best deal in Torquay and we gave a generous tip but would have paid full price if we had have known the quality. Do not be fooled by the outside appearance it's well worth a visit for that especial occasion
