“Great for group holiday”
Reviewed 18 May 2018 for a stay in April 2018

We were a group of 10, tha accommodation was ample and provided everything we would have expected. The Rockford Inn is nearby and excellen,t and local taxi was available for trips to Lynton when we did not cook ourselves.
Quiet, although river can be heard which is nice, great walk to Lynmouth.
Very helpful owner and would definately recommend to others.

“Wonderful property”
Reviewed 22 October 2017 for a stay in October 2017

I stayed here with my family in early October for a family celebration. We found the house well appointed, beautifully located and huge (we kept finding more bedrooms). The added extras like table tennis in the barn and table football made the weekend for the younger members of the group.I would highly recommend.

“Good value remote but seaside easily accessible, good facilities”
Reviewed 21 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Good sized American fridge, very large dining table, lots of room in the rooms. Outdoor space very small as on the hillside, but this did not bother us. Not double glazed so rain and the river can be heard in the rooms when quiet at night, but this did not seem to concern the children either. Was difficult to get the tv online channels we liked, probably due to band width. Cooker good, lots of crockery and cutLery and we didn't find anything extra needed, and parking for 4 cars is realistic. Overall would stay here again, we were 8 adults and 6 toddlers. Couldn't find a complete pack of cards though! Bathrooms very good.

Management Response
22 Jun 2016
Thank you for the great review and delighted you would stay again Melanie. Oaklands grounds extend to 1.5 acres which are mainly woods but has moorland gardens with a BBQ area and fenced children's play area on level ground. Internet TV is probably best watched buffered though the iplayer, Netflix etc. which are available. We provide a range of board games for all ages, as well as a Wii, table football, ping pong and darts. We try and replace things that go missing asap.
