They offer a round robin trip. cruise down the brilliant River Dart from Totnes to Dartmouth, cfross the river to Kingwear and steam train to Paignton, then bus back to Totnes. Execllent day out and saw the Dart wildlife, Atlantic Seal, Egrets and Herons. Cormorants drying themselves on boughs of tress. A wonderful day in spite of the weather. Trip down river can take over an hour. Fully informed passengers are told about local sights along the way. This was my second such trip, and look forward already to the next one.

We had booked the train, but didn't want to feel tied to the Round Robin trip. When we arrived at Dartmouth we saw the steamboat in the harbour and decided we would like to do a trip on that. The kiosk allowed us to upgrade our tickets and we caught the 1.30. We were able to take advantage of the glorious weather and sit outside. The commentary was amusing and informative, and overall a lovely experience. As OAPs we had travelled on steam trains frequently in our youth as that was the norm, but a steamboat was something new!

The views on the moor are wonderful, the Dartmoor ponies come to you, you can stroke them and photograph them, but do not feed them as they are semi wild. The moors are flat with small streams intertwined which you cannot see. if you like hiking or walking then this is ideal.
