Even with it raining people were still out and about, when the sun finally came out it was a real sun trap.
There are plenty of shops restaurants galleries etc to keep everyone happy.

It’s a beautiful area with amazing light (very hard to describe but you certainly notice it). The beach is gorgeous and it’s a great place to wander round and explore.

There are lots of cafes and galleries, and numerous places to eat and drink.

We visited in the Easter holidays and the crowds were manageable but I would imagine it gets very crowded in the Summer.

A beautiful area of St.Ives.

Visited for the first time in early April 2018. Beautiful beach with stunning white sands. Absolutely beautiful on a sunny blue sky day and I was able to take some of the best photos I have ever taken. The beach was very clean and not once did I spot any litter. Look forward to visiting again in August.

St Ives is one of my favourite towns to visit when at my parents in Cornwall, during the summer months it is extremely busy but if you can get there before the it is a wonderful place full of lovely little streets with a feeling of pixi magic. The beach is beautiful golden and clean and there are art galleries, museums. Second hand shops full of goodies. Plus some gorgeous eateries. A must if visiting Cornwall.

Wow, this is a magical seaside town with something for everyone. We keep returning. There are six beaches so one will always be sheltered. The town is renowned for the clarity of light and the colours of boats, sea and shore just glowed even in the rain on a bitter, windy day in March just before the snowfall! The narrow, twisting streets are crammed with interesting shops and art galleries and giggled-piggledy fishermens cottages, net and sail lofts. The harbour area is busy. There is interesting history by the bucket and spade full and lots of trails and walks. The Coastal Footpath goes through it.
