“Good location but kitche let it down”

Great location and smashing views and a comfortable cottage with character upstairs.
It was let down by the kitchen not being cleaned, it needs a a refit, tiles coming up on the floor, rising damp on the walls and in the cupboards, lots of chipped crockery, fridge too small and ineffective.

Sorry you thought so David - we were loathe to rip out the kitchen as it has so much character compared to the new and shiny versions but it should of course have been clean. It's unusual to hear that as we have an excellent cleaner these days. I keep crockery that's chipped in a separate cupboard for potting plants - I'll lock it so that other guests don't mix it up with the rest. Thanks for letting me know.

“Stunning views”
Reviewed 13 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Luckily we managed to get a last minute deal in August for Leo's Cottage. Having walked past the property many times when visiting St Ives, we were so pleased to stay here.
The views from the master bedroom and lounge are stunning. Not just Bamaluz but across to Godrevy, always something happening. We could have sat all week looking out of the windows and enjoyed this however the weather was fab so didn't do this.
The property is excellently equipped. Lovely kitchen diner with everything you need, we ate in several times during the week and the kitchen was stocked well.
Wi-fi was superb, tv was excellent and the sofa's were extremely comfortable. Decor is in keeping with a traditional fishermans cottage which we liked. There was plenty of space for 5 of us and that includes storage for beach gear and clothes. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. Worth noting that the bed in the single room is quite high off the ground so whilst this didn't affect us, some young children could find this an issue.
Having stayed in about 10 different cottages in St Ives in the last few years, this is definitely the best and whilst we may be influenced by the spectacular views, we really loved it here and would not hesitate returning

SPECTACULAR views, quiet location (but very short walk to everything), very nicely furnished - and excellent wifi ! It was bigger than we had anticipated, plenty of room for 2 adults + 2 kids, and a nice big dining table for when friends came over for dinner. Comfy beds and nice modern bathrooms. Loved it.
