Plenty of room with quiet and peacefulness in a rural setting. We appreciated the closeness to all things Doc Martin! We even took a day trip down to St. Michael's Mount. The cake on the counter when we arrived was a pleasant treat!

“Comfortable haven for a poet”
Reviewed 27 February 2014 for a stay in February 2014

I had a great few days at Higher Hendra, staying in one of the holiday cottages in the old farmyard.

The owners were very welcoming - emailing with travel help and suggestions, even leaving a freshly-baked cake ready for me!

The farm was very easy to find, and nicely situated within walking distance of the bracing North Cornish cliffs. The butcher in nearby St Teath and pubs in Port Isaac were within useful distance and everything they should have been.

The cottage was exceptionally clean on my arrival, kitchen had every implement and some very nice non-stick pans. Did I mention the cake?

Combine with cosy heating and a nice hot shower for refreshment after muddy walks and it made for a very cosy little haven for someone wanting to enjoy some Cornish beauty.
