“Perfect getaway”
Reviewed 10 August 2017 for a stay in July 2017

We just loved this barn. The timely responses and information from the owners prior to our arrival were pertinent and reassuring. The barn itself is safe, equipped with high end furniture and appliances, and has everything which one can ever need. We had no problem with Internet connections. Getting to and from the barn (by car) can be a bit nerve wrecking for the faint of heart, but the narrow roads with often blind corners adds to the sense of adventure. We hiked, cycled, and explored most of Cornwall during our way-too-short week at this wonderful spot. Will definitely stay there again should we find our way in the area again.

“Perfect Family Getaway”
Reviewed 5 June 2017 for a stay in May 2017

Amazing accommodation ... Everything catered for and a superb welcome basket upon arrival consisting of milk, eggs, wine and other essentials! Everything was clean and it felt home from home.
There is a lot to do and all is listed in the welcome folder. The weather was not great for us so there is more we would've done but were a little restricted.
We went to the beach at St. Ives and took the wetsuits and body boards from the accommodation which were great and saved us the expense of hiring them. The kids had a go at bodyboarding which they LOVED!
There is an ancient village ten minutes walk up the road and a riding stables ten minutes drive away. We did not ride as we left it too late to book but I would organise this next time.
I cannot fault this accommodation and the area is beautiful.
The owners kept in contact leading up to our visit and I emailed the housekeeper whilst there who replied very quickly and addressed my query.
A truly amazing place which is quiet and we enjoyed the peace as a family.
We hope to return soon.

Hi John,
So glad you had such a great time, and thanks for your very kind words. Yes, the wi-fi is a bit pants - we are on the end of a very long bit of BT string! But we try to compensate with lots of books, DVDs and games. As you say, it does no harm to go "off-grid" for a while. We hope to welcome you all back soon.
All best,
John and Sue
