Lovely little cafe in a beautiful garden. Yummy coffee and breakfast brought to us within 10 minutes which compared to most places we've been to in Newquay is fast!! Simple menu but it really works for a quick breakfast stop off. Will be returning here again!

Lovely place to sit in the sunshine but food extremely expensive for what you get. Barely a slice of bread (would have expected a baguette at least to go with the coleslaw and chutney). One thin slice of ham, small amount of cheese, some picked onions, the rest of the platter largely contained leaves Rabbit food at over £8 each! Rip off and took at least 20mins by which we had drunk our lemonade which came straight away-a ploy to get you to buy another drink?

The Garden is one of our favourite places to visit for a nice brunch, lunch or afternoon tea. The breakfast sandwiches are to die for, great coffee, lovely selection of lunches and one of the best cream teas around. They also do a great savoury cream tea which is worth a try.

The staff are super friendly and the place is very dog friendly and set in such a lovely place in the gardens.

Visited this cafe for lunch earlier today. It is next to the Trenance Cottages in a pretty garden - there are tables inside, as well as covered outside tables / sofa and fully outside picnic benches. Top marks for good clean toilet! The friendly cafe was bustling with families and our food was delivered in pretty good time. We ordered a ploughman lunch and one of the specials - halloumi salad. Note on the photos we had eaten some of the food already - the halloumi salad was good - lots of freshly dressed salad and tasty grilled cheese - the ploughmans - was a little disappointing mostly due to size ! a small piece of cheddar and one slice of a sliced granary loaf cut in half was not the door wedge that I kinda expected - the slice of ham tasted nice as did the small portion of chutney and coleslaw (but barely one desert spoon in size). I am sure we will try this place again and maybe they were running low on supplies...but will dodge the ploughmans.

The halloumi salad seemed pretty good value but the drinks seemed a bit pricey.

That said it was a lovely spot for lunch!

We've walked past many times but this time stopped for an excellent coffee. Might be more expensive than The Lakeside but the view is worth it.
