“Great apartment, with a great view”
Reviewed 1 November 2016 for a stay in October 2016

The apartment had every thing we needed for our short break and was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well fitted out and had everything I needed, and the kids had WIFI! Having your own parking space was also a bonus too. The view over Porth beach was great - especially at the end of the day with a glass of wine on the balcony. We would recommend staying here and using it as a good base to explore Cornwall.

Porth Sands , Some Brilliant views of the bay & Beach and the fantastic firework display 1st sunday evening watched from the balcony , The appartment was spotless Two Large Bedrooms Twin &singles ,The shower in the en suite was a bit awkward in turning on ,but the good sized bath made up for that .On the whole a fantastic place to stay , Newquay is a short distance away to walk, also a good base to tour Cornwall from .We will go back there sometime

“Very comfortable and convenient”

The property was very clean and comfortably furnished. The guide book was very well set out. The man running the property was very pleasant and helpful and easy to approach. The location was spot on, right on the beach, all you need to do is cross a quiet road. There is a shower outside to wash sandy feet off and downstairs storage for all beach stuff.

A bit tricky to get onto main road due to a very steep and blind exit but is is only a 20 minute coastal walk to get into town. Parking very convenient in marked bays in front of the building.

The cliff walk is a must! A very easy walk up the cliffs, across a bridge with waves crashing underneath at high tide and a short climb to await sunset. You can also get a Cornish ice cream at the beginning or end of your walk. The beach is very quiet and family orientated, lots of space for beach sport. At high tide, the sea meets the stream on the right side of the beach and children can easily paddle in blow up boats in the bay.

Ice cream shop on the beach, small shop that sells food and coffee to the left of the beach, pub on the beach for a cheeky pint or evening dinner, small restaurant across the road from the pub (also do breakfasts). Corner shop for milk and paper across the road from the pub. Relatively clean toilets right next to beach.

Grocery shopping easy with a Tesco Express, Sainsburys, Aldi and Asda. All with free parking. The doctors are close by; across the road from Tesco with walk in clinic on Mondays and Tuesdays. Traffic in Newquay is a nightmare and parking hard to come by unless you are in town before 10.

There is plenty to do with a penny arcade in town, Lighthouse movies (exceptionally clean), rowing on the lake, swimming pool, tennis courts, Zoo, Aquarium, surfing schools etc.

Lovely places to eat close by; Jamie's 15, good fish and chip shop opposite Aldi (the one on same side is dirty inside and sauces out of date), Pizza Express with spectacular sea views and our best find was Fistral Surf Diner (don't miss out on not going).

Best about apartment: cleanliness and sea views

To improve: better vacuum cleaner needed, plastic cups for children, stairs get very sandy during the week and could do with a mid week clean.
