What a brilliant find. We stayed in one of their self catering apartments which was stunning. It was equipped with all we needed just bring any food you may like. Self catering with hotel facilities on the door step a perfect scenario. Brilliant views and walks, all staff we met where really helpful which enhanced our stay. This will become one of our 'must' return to destinations

I have the fondest memories of coming to this hotel as a child with my parents and grandparents. It was fantastic then and I can say (after a break of 20 years) it is even better now. I visited just before Christmas, and had a wonderful stay. We had a sea view room which was fantastic. In the winter, it feels as though the waves almost break over the front of the hotel (one person on here complained about salt stains on the window - oh please, look where you are).

The breakfast was (and always has been) great quality and all the staff were exceptional. Our room was turned down before bed (a nice touch) and the home-made biscuits are divine (don't forget to eat them or they'll stop putting them in your room!).

I shall definitely be returning with our new baby this Christmas.

My wife and I have just returned from yet another visit to The Headland ( and as usual didn't want to leave. Everything from our usual 'Fistral View' bedroom (thanks for the welcome chocolates by the way) to the quality of the food was superb. Once again the staff are truly fantastic with a genuine caring and friendly attitude. Looking forward to the next visit. We even saw The Headland Hotel hot air balloon flying over Bodmin moor on the way home. 27th February 2012.

Room Tip: Fistral rooms overlook the beach. Ocean view rooms overlook the Atlantic. The cheapest rooms have no...

Stayed the weekend of the 18th Feb and as usual expectations were surpassed. Unfortunately the pool and spa are closed for major refurbishment which was a bit of a shame but the works made little impact on the whole experience. The resturant food was excellent and Greg and his staff were brilliant! The room was spotlessly clean, bright and comfortable, a real treat to stay there.

Room Tip: Fistral and ocean view rooms offer the best views

We stayed for one night on a very last minute booking and I have to say it was an absolute pleasure. What really made the stay were the staff.

From the porter, the reception staff, the waiting staff in the restaurant, and the waiting staff at breakfast--they were all extremely friendly, all were extremely helpful and all made the short stay a real pleasure. Also the food in The Restaurant was excvellent (as was breakfast).

I'd definately recommend it!!!
