“Gorgeous”
Reviewed 13 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

Had a week in the cottage in August
The cottage is superbly fitted out and very comfortable. It is literally about 1 minute from the harbour. B3 adults stayed and there was plenty of room.
The owner, Louise, was very helpful and accomodating. Thanks Louise for letting us stay in your gorgeous cottage

“Fab place to stay!”
Reviewed 7 July 2017 for a stay in June 2017

This house really does have everything you need, and as a person who loves cooking, I really appreciated the well equipped (good quality) kitchen. By the way, please go to Newlyn for fresh fish - absolutely brilliant and they are so helpful if you're not sure how to cook seafood and go to Mackerel Sky café (yummy). So, the location is perfect - it's a 3 minute walk to the little harbour beach and to the shops/pubs. Mousehole still has a community feel to it, despite the tourists and second homes. You're also very close to Penzance for shops, St Ives and Porthcurno beach...the list goes on. Fore Street restaurant is very good and we had lovely afternoon tea at the Rock Pool café with a view of the sea (and rain and cloud, but you might be lucky and go when there is plenty of sun).

“Excellent, well-equipped house in a great location”

We stayed in Penzance last year, walked to Mousehole a couple of times and thought we'd like to stay there next time we visited. My parents came with us this year and so we wanted a property with good access to the local shop, pub and public transport.

The house is well equipped and beautifully furnished, it seems the owners have thought of everything. We stayed in the double room at the front of the house, which is very spacious and comfortable. And my parents stayed in the room with single beds at the rear. We all slept well. There is some noise from seagulls, but it's a fishing village, so par for the course and didn’t bother us.

Public transport from Mousehole to Penzance and beyond is very good, and a weekly ticket is just over £20, which includes the open top buses to Land’s End and St. Ives. Free bus passes are accepted on all buses too, if you’re lucky enough to have one.

We arrived in Penzance by train, and if you are doing the same I would recommend getting shopping delivered from one of the supermarkets for convenience, there is a good post office/shop on the harbour front for basics in the day time and a co-op in Newlyn. Parking in Mousehole is at a premium and the tight streets can prove difficult for larger vehicles.

We loved the house and would certainly book again. It felt like a home from home.

“Really lovely”
Reviewed 1 October 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Just got home from a really lovely week in Cornwall. House was gorgeous- very well equipped and all to a really high standard. Immaculately clean on arrival and lots of thoughtful items such as cooking oil, etc left in cottage - so many do not have these small items but they make all the difference. Parking was easy - bought a week's pass on the quay for £15 and no problems at all. Louise was fantastic to deal with and e-mailed arrival and key details. Mousehole is gorgeous with fantastic food, restaurants and amazing views - a really lovely relaxing week.

“Home from home”
Reviewed 6 November 2015 for a stay in October 2015

As soon as we stepped in the door, it felt like we were at home. The place had a warmth to it (thanks to the heaters being on a gentle heat).
It was clean and tidy, 2 rooms - one with a double bed with the other having 2 single beds were cosy and inviting.

The kitchen area was stocked up with basic supplies, loads of cutlery, plates and glasses. The living room was chilled with a lovely log burner which we used a couple of times. There was also a good selection of DVDs

Mousehole itself is a cosy, quaint and lovely harbour town. The residents were friendly and helpful. The Old Coastguard is a fab place to have a couple of drinks on the veranda or have a super tasty meal.

I hope to come back to Mousehole and stay at Millpool again.
