We have just returned from a fantastic week at Bay View Millendreath. The accommodation was superb and exceeded our expectations. Everything was clean and fresh, the decor was modern and tasteful with attention to detail. In fact, everything we needed was there! The kitchen was extremely well equipped; tea/coffee/milk & juice were provided on arrival which was much appreciated after the long journey.
Beds were very comfortable, as was the living area. £10 was provided on the electricity meter which lasted for the duration of our stay and wi-fi was included too.
We were lucky to have good weather all week and enjoyed sitting on the huge balcony admiring the views of the bay. Sunbeds, large table, cushioned chairs, parasol & BBQ were all provided.
We found Millendreath an ideal base for visiting the Eden Project, Lost gardens of Heligan, Polperro, Looe & Plymouth.
We hired kayaks on the beach and paddled around the bay several times which was great fun. There is a beach bar/cafe/shop where everyone was friendly & helpful. We found the area to be very safe and excellent all round for couples and families.
Overall, we had a wonderful week at Bay View and would thoroughly recommend this accommodation.
Myself and my wife have rented that accomdataion on the first June weekend.Although the weather was not so great the spot was remarkable. Newly refurbished, very well equipped with perfect view of the bay. Spacious terrace is great for a barbecue and having a morning coffee. All indoor amenities in a great condition and high standard. We did not try beach cafe/restaurant hovewer was pretty busy saturday Evening. Truly reccomand it and thanks Tracey for pleasant stay.
We had such a wonderful stay in This modern and well equipped holiday home. We had remarkable views over the beach and sea. This will be our first choice location on our next trip to Looe, Cornwall.
My husband and I have spent a wonderful week at bay view. Although there are quite a few steps to the property the views are worth it.The property is well equipped and is of a high standard. The terrace on the property is a sun trap which is wonderful if you just want to soak up the Cornish sun and look at the stunning view of milendreath bay. If you want to eat near base there is a fantastic restaurant by the beach the food is out standing and staff friendly and accommodating. There is also a bar which remains open until 11pm. We look forward to visiting again
Please see my previous review; it all still stands and this is the reason we returned for a full week this year and brought my Husband along with us! Bay View really is becoming a home from home for us as everything is just as we like it. We were treated to a new sofa and lounge layout which it has to be said, does work better. The bathroom has been completely renewed and the power shower is glorious. By boiling the kettle for hot water for the odd bit of washing up we didn't need to use the immersion heater at all. As I had the aforementioned Husband on board this year I felt the need to investigate the hilltop walk to Looe. It took us about 30 minutes and is quite punishing hillwise in places but this is all good news because you then can then enjoy guilt free indulgence in lovely Cornish goodies while you're there with the added bonus of not having to worry about how long you've got left in the car park! We visited Seaton beach which was busier than we were used to at Millendreath but still enjoyable. My son left his Nike trainers in the car park and they were still there two days later - This is Cornwall folks :-) Can't wait to get back next year.
