“A must stay hidden gem”
Reviewed 22 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

This cottage tucked away in the rolling countryside just outside St. Keynes is equipped to a high standard of comfort, a thoughtful Welcome Pack - a real bonus. Approached via a leafy gravel drive the cottage is set in a spacious courtyard surrounded by attractive woodland and lawned areas which we were encouraged use at any time. In the evenings particularly, we enjoyed beautiful sunsets as we sat at the table at the rear of the cottage overlooking the wooded valley below. Our hosts Chris and Jags made us extremely welcome, nothing was too much trouble. We will certainly return next year.

So glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Thank you very much, for both such a great review, and also one that is very informative and helpful to others looking for places to stay in Cornwall. Hope to see you again next year and also hope the sea trout are more accommodating too!

“A well appointed cottage beautifully restored in a lovely location with generous owners.”
Reviewed 15 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

We had an idyllic week staying in The Lodge Cottage which was well placed for touring the whole of Cornwall. The cottage was sensitively restored and all facilities were high end. It had wonderful views from a strategically placed patio and caught the sun right up to sunset.
Chris and Jags, the owners, were perfect hosts, their hospitality knew no bounds. The cottage had everything you could think of and more. The welcome pack could not have been better. Places of interest and beauty were on the doorstep and we came away with plenty yet to see and do. We liked and enjoyed everything. There was nothing to dislike. We are just confirming dates and will be returning next year in May or June. An ideal spot for couples of all ages.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review and share your experiences in Cornwall with others on Tripadvisor.
We are so pleased you enjoyed the cottage and appreciated the hard work that has gone into making it what it is. I must admit we are quite envious of both the views you have from the cottage and, as you so succinctly put it, the strategically placed patio which catches the sun right up to sunset. As it's better than the main house in both aspects!
Was a real pleasure having you both stay and you're obviously more than welcome back any time.

Thanks for taking the time to leave such a lovely review.
So pleased to hear you had a nice and relaxing time, especially given the arduous journey you had to get down to Cornwall. Would love to see you again some time in the future...

Thanks Guys for taking the time to review your stay with us. So pleased you got out and about and enjoyed the local places and attractions with it being your first time to Cornwall. Jags will have to come up with something even more special if you come again, so best give us lots of notice to get practising in the kitchen! All the best and hope to see you again when you are next down in the South West.

Thanks for taking the time to review the Old Rectory. It was a real pleasure having you stay and we were quite honoured you picked our place for your stay in Cornwall coming all the way over from New Zealand. You were rhe most perfect "guests" one could ask to have stay in their property. Hope too see you again one day.... All the best, Chris & Jags.
