I chose this hotel due to its location, TripAdvisor reviews and parking facilities. It is in walking distance of the city - about 10 mins to the station and 20 mins to the city centre and it is also on a bus route with bus stops nearby (although the buses seem to stop quite early in the evening). There is, indeed, plenty of free parking space.
Our room was within the house (circa 1880) and the room was fine, even having a chandelier, but the en-suite shower room was in need of updating and had no electric razor point. The rooms in the more modern annex may well be better. The room was provided with good coffee and tea-making facilities and supplied with very nice biscuits.
The staff in the hotel were lovely - helpful and friendly and the breakkfasts were excellent. Plenty of choice of cooked breakfast up to a full English as well as the usual cereals, toast etcMore
- Free Wifi
