My partner & I have just returned from a night away at the New Blossoms Hotel..........great location & easy parking. Room clean with all the usual tea, coffee, kettle, ironing board, iron & trouser press. Tasty breakfast...... Unfortunately the hot water for the shower takes at least 10 mins to get warm so the 1st shower was a cold one!.....could hear the people above us walikng about plus when they had a bath! Also failed to mentioned online there no air con, which not really a problem as can open the window..........thats if you dont mind listening to the extremely loud music from the club from across the road & the bar next door! which kept us awake from midnight until 3am. We stay in Chester quite often & decided to give New Blossom a try, but it will back to the Kings Suite at The Queens Hotel next month...:)

We stayed as a surprise by our family to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary, the location was ideal & our room was lovely & it was quiet. The meals were all faultless as were the staff. As I am a hotel housekeeper myself, New Blossom nearly gets top marks for cleanliness, the only thing I noticed was the windows & mirrors needed to be buffed streak free & gleaming, but this did not affect our stay, it was just an observation. It was a wonderful experience & the only fault was that we didnt stay longer. This hotel is highly recommended, and so is their afternoon tea.!!!! We both look forward to coming back again - soon! Thank you to all the staff on making our celebration a perfect one!

My partner and I stayed at the New Blossoms hotel for one night.

On arrival to Chester we found parking easy in one one the city centre car parks. At just £10 for a 24 hour stay it was good value and just a short walk away from the hotel.

The reception staff were very friendly and polite. Once checked in we made our way to our room, number 303. It must be said the view from our bedroom window wasn't fantastic, just looking over the back of the hotel however it did mean that we didn't hear any noise from outside so in many respects it was a plus. The windows themselves were pretty nasty, old metal frames covered in black mold!

Our bed was fantastic, the linen was soft, lovely and white but what made the difference to our sleep where the fantastic feather pillows.

The bathroom looks light and airy but sadly the shower did let it down somewhat, poor or little temperature control and it was tricky to get under the shower head as it was attached and very close to the all. Just take care with the shower screen, it didn't really prevent the water going all over the floor.

Breakfast was very nice, my advice would be to book this before your stay as paying on the day cost a lot more.

All in all we would stay at the hotel again, location was fantastic, staff very friendly just a little attention to the bathroom would have made it perfect.

We stayed 2 nights, the hotel was excellent all round. The position was perfect right in the centre, the staff were all very helpful & friendly, the hotel & rooms clean & warm (i hate going to a hotel only to find the rooms rather cold). We booked a MacDonalds Winter Break, i chose to upgrade the room to an Executive, it was nice & large, with robes & lovely toiletries (plus all the usual coffee tray, iron etc) our room was on the front but did not suffer any noise. I had booked a Dinner package as it was only £10 per night extra per person, it seemed daft not too, As the restauraunt was open to non residents i was expecting either a seperate menu or an allowance of £10 each towards our meal infact i was extremly surprised & more than pleased to find that we had an allowance of £25 each plus a bottle of wine (1st night only for wine), we had a 2nd bottle of the same wine at a cost of £17 so for £20 at the time of booking we had a £67 meal, can't fault that!! The food was very good & plentiful neither of us managed a dessert, which is unusual. Breakfast was equally as good, there was a continental cold buffet with all the usual & it was very nice to find that the orange & grapefruit slices were actually hand 'carved/sliced' as opposed to tinned which you get in many hotels. After that a cooked breakfast was served at your table so everything was freshly cooked, many hotels have a hot buffet so it was nice to be served for a change. I cannot fault the hotel or it's staff in anyway & shall definatly stay there again, we have stayed at MacDonalds hotels before & they never fail. We parked our car in the nearby car park at a cost of £10 per 24 hours, you can drop off & collect at the front entrance, although it is double lines so you cannot stay too long.
