We booked 2 rooms opposite each other and they accommodated us with no fuss. The rooms were clean and had all the required amenities for a short stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful in recommending restaurants worth visiting in the city.

We booked up early in December for the wife's birthday and we have stopped in Premier Inn's before and always done ok with them, we paid £94 for a double room with no breakfast or evening meal and we then paid £7 up the road to park overnight..

BUT

The hotel is nice and is situated around some lovely pubs and bars and also some superb little restaurants, we also had a drink in the hotel and again was made to feel welcome and at home the prices in the bar for a pint are as expected in the town area around £3.80 for a pint of Carling.

The room itself we were on the second floor and was very quiet, the room temp was superb and all the amminities in the room suited us, comfy bed and nice large TV..

The only moan would be from the wife that the pillows are too soft and the towels were rock (and i mean rock) hard. However away from this can not complain about the hotel or staff.

Just a shame the cost and also no parking available,

BUT

We will look to stop again.

I stay at Premier Inn regularly because they are usually good value for money and rooms are of a good comfy standard.
Chester was a let down.
I had booked a twin room, we were initially given a double, I returned to reception to be given a twin, down in the basement, which was clearly getting re fit.
The room was freezing cold all night, no matter if we turned the heating on.
The whole corridor stank of paint and we had a builder just walk into our room as we were getting ready in the morning.
Yes it was a good price, but parking was £7 on top in a super tight car park, and the unfinished feel, smell and temperature was a let down.
Not what I’ve come to expect from a Premier Inn.
Friendly staff on check in.
