Myself and my mum had High Tea booked for this afternoon and we were blown away by the gorgeous building and the high standard of the food. The staff were friendly and attentive and the relaxing atmosphere made the experience even more enjoyable. When the plates of beautifully presented food arrived we couldn't believe our eyes , mini pies, curry, chilli con carne and more and to top it off a selection of tasty sweet treats for dessert. I couldn't recommend this place highly enough , we will most certainly returning for a bottle of fizz and some more cake very soon !

Took a friend ( who was on holiday from Canada ) to Booth Mansion for afternoon tea. We were delighted with the selection of sandwiches and savoury pastries as well as cakes and fruit scones with jam and clotted cream. Everything was liberally sprinkled with berries, Strawberries, raspberrys and blueberries, absolutely delicous!

Visited Booth Mansion for the first time today for High Tea ...what a treat! I was not expecting such a varied array of food which went beyond what you would normally expect and everything was delicious, with starters of soup, followed by portions of prawn cocktail, chicken tika masala , home made savouries ,cakes , scones with cream and jam and fresh berries. The owner couldn't have been more helpful, pleasant and friendly, as were the staff, even extra pots of tea were provided on request. The piano player added that extra special touch. I would highly recommend a visit and promise you will have a very enjoyable experience.

Just had a lovely amaretto hot chocolate with light lemon cake blueberry jam and clotted cream. Delicious!! Well presented and the background music is chill out music. Could put my feet up and stay all day Much needed after walking around-the impressive cathedral, Churches Roman ruins, amphitheatre and gardens As well as walking the City Walls and the suspension bridge over the river See.

I would highly recommend stopping for tea at the Booth Mansion, especially on a cold and grey day. On the day we visited, a person was handing out leaflets so we decided to go inside. The person who was handing out the leaflets was actually the owner! He warmly welcomed us and explained to us some details about the building (which has been restored). The actual tea room is massive, but cosily decorated and there was a pianist playing lovely classics, such as Phantom of the Opera. We had delicious hot chocolate, but not the usual powdery kind, instead it was real chocolate that came on a stick that you melted into your milk. All in all a lovely visit, and a wonderful way to end our day drip to Chester.
