“Great Place with lovely accommodation, amazing bathroom & kitchen.”

Stayed here for a special family occasion. It was great to find. A place where friends and family could all stay together, with plenty of parking for all our cars. The rooms are all very spacious and all the units have different themes to them, making each one unique. The under floor heating was suprisingly effective with a control in each unit.
We were even able to have our meals in large groups, the kitchen diner accommodation was so spacious.
Ours had a fantastic wet room and even had a bath in the bedroom! My 92 year old step father was a bit bemused with this idea. I think it's a fantastic idea for a romantic get away!
The connections were good to pick people from the nearby mainline station at Royston, where there was a large superstore to get all our shopping & several take aways which deliver to you.

The young couple who own this new complex were very helpful and were so keen to ensure our stay went well. It was apparently an old derilict farm yard and they built it from scratch, using a lot of the old bricks etc. Fascinating seeing the photos of how it was before they started.
Some of us drove to the park and ride and had a lovely day in Cambridge, which is an amazing city.
A great find and many of us already plan to come back.

“Beautiful escape surrounded by countryside”

A group of us visited Clopton Courtyard in the summer in order to get away from the daily grind and found that it was the perfect place to do this. Surrounded by stunning Cambridgeshire countryside as far as the eye can see, we really felt like we had managed to escape the stresses of city life in order to unwind for a few days of much needed R n' R.

The barns themselves have been meticulously refurbed and furnished with an array of interesting vintage pieces. We were given a tour of the other units and each barn has it's own personality, but all were equally stylish. The owners have clearly spent a lot of time and effort transforming this place, and their hard-work really shows.

The location was easy to reach from London via a short train ride, then we hopped in a local mini cab for the final part of the journey which was inexpensive.

All in all I will certainly be recommending Clopton to my friends as a great place to disappear to when they want to switch off and relax for a few days of much needed country air.
